FOEN

Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (SFOEN)
National Environmental Office: Main activities: legislation (regulations level) and supervision of compliance with the legislation of the Environment Protection Law and/or the Chemicals Law insofar as they are related to the detergent and cleaning products industry. The VOC (volatile organic compounds) steering tax is also one of the wide range of activities undertaken by the SFOEN. Co-operation on technical and legal issues.


FOPH
- Chemicals Law

Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (SFOPH)
Main activities: legislation (regulations level) and supervision of laboratories in the various cantons with regard to compliance and with the Chemicals Law. Co-operation on technical and legal issues.


FSVO - Cosmetics Law 

Swiss Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO)
Main activities: legislation (regulations level) and supervision of laboratories in the various cantons with regard to compliance with the Foodstuffs and Commodities Act (cosmetics). Co-operation on technical and legal issues.


IPI

Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI)
The Swiss government's central point of contact for all questions concerning patents, trade marks, designations of origin, design protection and copyright. Among other things, it provides information on how companies can make optimum use of both the IP rights system and their possible freedom of movement and conducts trade mark and patent searches. It is also responsible for the internal administrative preparation of legislation in all areas of intellectual property. Co-operation on legislative matters (as with the «Swissness Amendments», for example, with a view to a SKW industry ordinance).


SECO

State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO)
The SECO is the Swiss competence centre with regard to all crucial issues concerning economic policy. Its goal is to achieve sustainable economic growth. As such, it creates the necessary basic conditions with regard to regulatory and economic policies. Co-operation on legislative matters (e.g. technical trade restrictions).
